This scientific evidences tells it's own tale to the scientific officer while examining the evidences.

If a crime is committed what happens?
The prior responsibility of the first responding officer is to barricade the crime scene and avoid people entering the crime scene.i.e preservation of crime scene.
After the crime scene investigator arrives the crime scene the photography of crime scene is done , identification and collection of evidences is done.later on these evidences are packed,  sealed and sent to forensic laboratory for further analysis along with a forwarding letter. In laboratories the forensic scientists analyse the evidences carefully, explore possible links suspect and the criminal activity. Then the forensic experts write down the report which describes the detail information of analysis of evidences. Now this report is forwarded to the court of law for further proceedings. In short -
) Preservation of crime scene.
2) Examination of scene of crime.
3) Collection of evidences.
4) Interpretation of evidences.
5) Presentation of report to the court.

As we all know that , we the people who serve for the law have a motto that -
"Let a hundred guilty be acquitted but one innocent should not be convicted".

The delivery of justice depends upon the integrity and accuracy of the forensic report given by the forensic scientists.

The expert opinion and reports given to various courts is under SECTION 45 of IEA( Indian Evidence Act).
