Central Para Military Forces (CPMFS),</b></div><div><b>Ii. Unarmed Police Organization,</b></div><div><b>Iii. Union Territories Police Forces.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>CENTRAL PARA MILITARY FORCES (CPMFS)</b></div><div><b>• Armed police organizations also known as central para military forces.</b></div><div><b>• It further divided into several groups. They are: </b></div><div><b>*Assam Rifles, Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, National Security Guards.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>ASSAM RIFLES</b></div><div><b>• Assam rifles is the oldest of the central para military forces. Head quarters is in shillong in India.</b></div><div><b>• Presently it is headed by director general, who is an officer of the rank of lt.General from the army.</b></div><div><b>• They performing roles like maintaining security of the north eastern sector of the international border.</b></div><div><b>• And helping states in the north east to maintain the law and order.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>BORDER SECURITY FORCE </b></div><div><b>• Before to the indo-pak war of 1965, maintaining security of indo-pak border was the responsibility of the armed police forces of concerned states.</b></div><div><b>• The 1965 war led the government to recognize the need to setup a specialised force to maintain security on the indo-pak international border.</b></div><div><b>• This led to the establishment of BSF on December  1, 1965.</b></div><div><b>• The BSF has a peace as well as war-time role.</b></div><div><b>• In peace time they do like preventing smuggling ,illegal activities ,prevent trans –border crime etc.,</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>CENTRAL RESERVE POLICE FORCE(CRPF)</b></div><div><b>• CRPF firstly, formed in the year 1939 at that time it was known as crown representative police.</b></div><div><b>• After independence , the force was given statutory status with the passage of the central reserve police act in 1949.</b></div><div><b>• The role of CRPF is to help the states/union territories in maintain law and order .</b></div><div><b>• The force is divided into sectors ,each headed by an inspector general.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>UNARMED POLICE ORGANIZATIONS</b></div><div><b>o The unarmed police organizations are of the following ;</b></div><div><b>o Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D)it is under the ministry of home affairs .It is having four divisions.</b></div><div><b>o Central Bureau Of Investigation(CBI) , Directorate Of Coordination Police Wireless (DCPW), Intelligence Bureau(IB), National Crime Records Bureau(NCRB),National Institute Of Criminology And Forensic Science(NICFS) , Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (NPA).</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>STATE POLICE ORGANIZATION</b></div><div><b>▪ The structure and working of the state police forces are governed by the police act of 1861.</b></div><div><b>▪ Superintendence over the police force in the state is exercised by state government .</b></div><div><b>▪ The head of the police force in the state is the DGP.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>POLICE HIERARCHY:</b></div><div><b>• IT IS OF THREE CATEGORIES :</b></div><div><b>1.
